Here are a few images that accurately reflect the abilities
of any given camera model. The images are altered only in
terms of size and sharpness after reduction and by the JPEG
compression used. Unless otherwise mentioned, assume that
any marbling or artifacts visible in the images are due to
the compression required to display them here. We feel however,
that they still faithfully represent the results we experienced.
STILL LIFE PHOTO
This scene was photographed indoors with a flash in a room with subdued
natural lighting.
This photo was taken with the Z150's zoom at its widest setting (4.7mm,
28mm equivalent) in Auto mode with flash enabled and camera anti-shake
mode enabled. The image is evenly exposed. When viewed at 100 percent
in a photo editor, the photo was noisy everywhere. Objects were softly
rendered. Colors were slightly under-saturated.

ZOOM STILL LIFE PHOTO
This shot tests the camera and zoom lens at full telephoto on the still
life scene under the same lighting and metering conditions.
The exposure in this shot gets darker from the right edge of the photograph
to its left, but not by much. At 100 percent in an image editor, noise
can be seen throughout the photo. Detail is very soft. Typography on the
camera's mode dial, for instance, is totally obscure. Color fidelity is
good.

MACRO PHOTO
This is a macro test shot. The test object is about 4.5 inches wide by
3.5 inches high.
This image was captured in Best Shot Macro mode with flash enabled at
about six inches from the subject. Frame was slightly over-exposed. Colors
are slightly darker than what could be seen with the human eye. At 100
percent in an image editor, there was visible noise within the object
and along its latticework. Details were soft.

BUILDING PHOTO
This is an outdoor test shot taken in Auto mode. The house has lots
of fine detail in the shingles and slate roof, as well as in the architectural
design of the doorway.
Displaying the image at 100 percent in a photo editor showed good color
fidelity and exposure. Noise was indiscernible. Detail was sharp and fine
lines crisp.

ZOOM BUILDING PHOTO
Without moving from the spot that the building photo was taken, the image
of the entrance to the house was captured with the zoom extended to its
maximum focal length.
The photo appears to be slightly overexposed. At 100 percent in an image
editor, the detail in the shot is very good. Leaves on the tree to the
left of the entrance are sharp and crisp. Even the branches of a tree
reflected in the window to the right of entrance are nicely rendered.
Color in the house and its surroundings are a tad under-saturated. There's
also traces of noise in the shadows under the eaves above the entrance.
