While
the control the user has over the C-700UZ is quite extensive, it also
makes for a more complex menu system. To simplify the accesses to the
various functions, Olympus has used an ingenious "shortcut"
system that turns out to be quite effective.
The Playback menu
works in a similar way, providing a shortcut screen to the most commonly
used functions, but these cannot be customized.

Software
Olympus provides
Camedia Master Version 2.5 (Windows and Macintosh) on the one
CD-ROM included with the C-700. The disk contains the USB driver and
also includes an extremely detailed user's manual in PDF format to complement
the printed "Basic Manual" that comes in the camera's box.
To read the full PDF version of the manual (200 pages), Adobe's Acrobat
Reader is also included on the CD.
The
manual is offered in English, French German and Spanish, and covers just
about every aspect of this complex camera.
Camedia Master is Olympus' own software. Not only can it allow a fair
bit of correction and photo editing, it can stitch panoramic images together
seamlessly and display precise information about the camera settings for
each image.
